This was a wedding for 300 guests held in Chelsea in NYC for a Brazilian couple. It was held in a dance theater- so it was basically a blank slate that my team transformed into a NYC theme space with lounges and vignettes. Each lounge represented a different part of NYC- Chelsea, Brooklyn, etc... It was modern and slick. We used custom neon signs & suspended hundreds of oxblood calla lillies form the ceiling above the raw bars & ferns from hung from the beams over the lounges. The palms on the bar were an homage to Brazil. The wedding was black tie but the couple opted for a more Brazilian set up that was much more party focused and less formal sit down so we did passed appetizers and food stations to keep the party going & alive. Of course, everyone was gorgeous and danced until dawn. Literally.
